On November 9, 2023, Sabah Credit Corporation (SCC), a statutory body owned by the Sabah State Government (Malaysia), announced an extended collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology division of Alibaba Group. The partnership involves the launch of a financial Super App called YONO, aimed at strengthening SCC's digitalization and enhancing customer experience in Sabah. YONO, powered by Alibaba Cloud’s Enterprise Mobile Application Studio (EMAS) Super App solution, offers various functions such as easy financing applications, instant loan approvals, and an e-wallet for consumers and businesses. This collaboration, which began in 2020 with the development of Sabah Pay, marks the first deployment of the EMAS Super App framework for a Malaysian State government agency.
