Dagang NeXchange Berhad (DNeX) and Google Cloud announced a multi-year agreement on September 30, 2024, to deliver next-generation sovereign cloud services in Malaysia. This partnership will cater to the increasing demand for cloud solutions that adhere to strict data residency, security, and privacy requirements, particularly within regulated industries. DNeX will operate Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) as a Managed GDC Provider (MGP), focusing on air-gapped configurations for organizations in Malaysia. The GDC solution operates entirely within the customer's chosen environment, requiring no connectivity to a Google Cloud region or the public internet. This will enable organizations in Malaysia to accelerate their digital transformations while offering data sovereignty, operational sovereignty, and software sovereignty.
