Digital Realty, in conjunction with Mitsubishi Corporation through their joint venture MC Digital Realty (MCDR), is expanding its data center capacity in Japan to accommodate the increasing demand for AI and digital infrastructure. The expansion involves the launch of a 34 Megawatt (MW) NRT12, a data center that can support high-power computing requirements of AI and machine learning technologies. NRT12 offers high-density power of up to 70 kilowatts per rack and features innovative Air-Assisted Liquid Cooling (AALC) technologies, low-latency networks, and high-speed connectivity. The NRT Campus now totals 73 MW in IT power. It is part of PlatformDIGITAL®, Digital Realty's global data center platform, and a ServiceFabric™ site, allowing customers to manage complex workflows and orchestrate their hybrid IT infrastructure and AI workloads from a single point. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Digital Realty in Japan, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the growing demand for digital infrastructure in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
