Digital Realty and MC Digital Realty Expand AI-Driven Data Center Capabilities in NRT Park, Japan
Digital Realty, in partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation through their joint venture MC Digital Realty (MCDR), is expanding its capacity at the NRT campus in Japan. The NRT12 data center will offer high-density power design of up to 70 kilowatts per rack, using innovative air-assisted liquid cooling (AALC) technology, low latency networks, and high-speed connections to meet the demands of high-performance computing, machine learning, virtual reality, augmented reality, and AI workloads. The NRT campus will provide a campus Connect service, allowing customers to use the infrastructure of multiple data centers within the campus as a single unit, facilitating efficient data exchange for AI and digital transformation plans. The modular design of the data center allows for flexible expansion to meet the growing AI deployment needs. The NRT12 is part of Digital Realty's open, neutral global data center platform, PlatformDIGITAL®, which provides customers with interconnection spaces to facilitate collaboration and accelerate digital transformation.
