Data4 Group to Invest Over €1 Billion in New 180MW Data Center in Hanau, Aiming for Large-Scale Acceleration and Resource Optimization

April 15, 2024
Data4 Group, a data center provider, is addressing the growing demands of artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainability concerns by building densely packed data centers. The number of hyperscale data centers worldwide is nearing 1,000, doubling since 2019, and their capacity is expected to double in the next five years. Data4 Group is using liquid cooling at its Marcoussis site in Paris and plans to expand this method to all its campuses. The company is also developing a new 180MW data center in Hanau, near Frankfurt, which will be one of the largest and most powerful data center campuses in Europe. The company plans to invest over €1 billion to develop the facility on the 25-hectare site in stages until 2032. The new data center will be designed to cater for large-scale acceleration and densify resources for future optimization.
